From 1984 onwards the list of red hot Virgin Atlantic destinations has expanded to 9 in the USA, 8 in the Caribbean, 4 in Africa, 2 in India, 3 in the Far East as well as Australia and Mauritius.

1990 was also red hot! Virgin Atlantic was the first airline to introduce individual TVs into all cabins. In 1994 we launched the first super-economy cabin, called Premium Economy. In 2003 we launched our award winning Upper Class Suite designed to be both a luxuriously comfortable seat and a superb fully-flat bed.
